Lado Gurgenidze, is a career banker who, after a decade spent as an investment banker in Warsaw, Moscow and London, returned to his native Georgia in 2004 and spearheaded, as Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, the turnaround of Bank of Georgia (LSE: BGEO).

In 2007-2008, Lado served as Prime Minister of Georgia, leading the Georgian economy through the final stage of free-market reforms, including tax cuts and the financial services sector reform as well as privatisation and liberalisation policies.
Lado is an active angel investor and has made early-stage investments in several high-profile fintech startups in Europe and the United States, including
Coinbase, TransferWise and Raisin (where he serves on the advisory board). Lado’s more recent fintech investments include bonify , goHenry and BuyBack Bazaar. He has also made (and largely exited) several successful startup investments in Georgia.
In November 2019, Lado joined Finch Capital as a non-executive Investment Advisor.
